Located on the southern part of the isle at an altitude of 610 m, with a surface area of 81,79 Km 2, a population of 57 445, and at a road distance of 81,3 Km from Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

It limits to the west with Adeje by the Canyon of the King (barranco del Rey), to the east with Saint Miguel and to the north with Vilaflor.
