History.
There are few, scattered facts on the origin of this municipality, some refer to the existence of settlements after the conquest.
In the XVII century the temple of Saint Antonio Abad was built and in 1796 it became a church, separating itself from the mother church of Vilaflor.
Contrasting with its beginnings, this municipality has developed spectacularly in recent years. Halfway through the XX century, Los Cristianos was only a small fishing port and quarry, today, it is an significant tourism site in the region and has become an important port that allows Tenerife’s communication with La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro .

Dating from 1627 and rebuilt in the XIX century. Images of the Christ of Health (Cristo de la Salud) appear and also of the Immaculate Conception. It boasts a high altarpiece from the XVII century.
